This group of images demonstrates "Stage 1" of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). Fundal and sagittally sectioned views of the eye emphasize the clear demarcation line at the vascular/avascular junction in the developing retina - a key characteristic used in classification of Stage 1 ROP. Other images in this series as well as an animation demonstrate the other stages of ROP.

Animation Exhibits

With purchase of an animation, you will receive a DVD (playable in a DVD player or in a
DVD-ROM drive) containing a clean copy of the animation. The "Sample" watermarks will be

unobtrusively placed in small type along the bottom of the animation sequences. (A few of
